March 1st | 12pm | 307 PItsenbarger Blvd.
The grand opening of the McChord Heritage Room Honoring Military Spouses and the Joan Brown Spouse Space on March 1st at 1200. This dedicated area for spouses has been a collaborative effort between McChord leadership and a group of spouses. Originally planned as a Wing Staff Agency Heritage Room by the 62nd Airlift Wing, they generously combined efforts with us once learning of our goal to create a space designed with military spouses in mind.
Military spouses fulfill many roles and provide stability for our families, often while navigating challenging circumstances. This new space aims to support spouses by providing a place outside the home to get things done, whether it’s answering emails in a quiet spot, relaxing with a book and a comfortable chair, or meeting with others over coffee. With a conference table, reservable desks, and a full kitchen with new appliances, it offers both productivity and community.
We hope you can join us for the grand opening to meet Mrs. Joan Brown and learn more about this meaningful project. If you can’t attend, please help spread the word so more spouses can benefit from this resource. As we all know, effective communication is essential but also a constant challenge. By sharing information about spaces, services, and events, we can continue expanding efforts that enrich military families.
